After many wondrous years in the charming hamlet of Los Angeles, California, I relocated to Portland, Oregon in 2021. Bridgetown. Rip City. Stumptown. Warzone. Like myself, Portland has abundant nicknames, including some that I consider pretty off-brand. While it’s tough to find something that rhymes with “Derich,” the options for “Wittliff” are frankly devastating. I love my new digs and how PDX has welcomed my family with open arms. My studio in SW is minutes from Downtown Portland, Beaverton, Multnomah Village, and the best vegan Japanese comfort food this side of the planet.

Here, I make stuff, write songs, and brew cask-strength creative to the call of local Barred Owls, Pseudacris regilla, and (hopefully!) yourselves. I can also come to you—quickly, on a candy-apple red motorcycle, usually—and we can sit down together and do some of our best, most differently hittingest, unfair-to-the-competition work.
