I directed this spot with the incomparable, swiss-army-of-one Christopher Hall and superproducer Deedee Li. It was a sidecar piece for a fractional NFT project, which served as a holiday gift and brand promotion for Troika Media Group. We filmed it at the Venice studio and neighborhood of Claire Salvo, a multidisciplinary artist who creates stunning, hyper-realistic illustrations using ballpoint pen. Claire made the conversation effortless and engaging, and Chris brought his usual insane skill set and kit to the production and post. It was a nice opportunity to lean into the live-action, doc-style directing I love doing, with unique emphasis on an amazing local artist rather than a big brand.
